Transfer
Elementary school
Each move-in Dong Office(Town Office) is in charge of an elementary student transfer. When a move-in notification is made, students are assigned to the elementary school nearest their residence.
Middle school
A regional office of education is responsible for a middle school student transfer. Transfer is available when your town office is different after moving. For more detailed information, please contact the regional office of education in charge of a student transfer.

    Regional Office of EducationVisit a regional office of education with a certificate of registration and a certificate of studentship. A student may be assigned to middle school if all required materials are submitted.

General High School

  • A copy of Transfer Application
  • A copy of Certificate of Registration
  • A copy of a Certificate of Studentship
  • A copy of Certificate of Studentship and other documents which are required to submit if all family members
        are not in a certificate of registration
Foreign student and Ethnic Korean studentis required to hand in additional documents besides
materials mentioned above.
  • Official transcripts of all schools studying in foreign countries and a certificate of studentship
  • A certificate of entry and departure record of one of parents and student issued by Korea Immigration
       Service
  • A copy of family register (or a certificate of foreign government) issued by a Dong Office(Town Office)
  • A certificate of domestic residency report issued by Korea Immigration Service, Permanent Resident
        C- ard, or a certificate of terminated registration of one of parents and student issued by a Town Office
  • A copy of family register (or a certificate of foreign government) issued by a Dong Office(Town Office)

Transfer of students in specialized high school
  • The transfer process is decentralized. As an applicant must apply for admission to a particular school directly, so please visit and register at the chosen schooll with a copy of Student Record. The admission decision is made according to the school's regulation of student capacity.
